I work on the boundary between art music and disposable music.
It is my intention to push forward interdisciplinary art, through collaborations between film, theatre, dance, visual art, literature and music.
I challenge the preconceptions of what music is played where.
1. Storytelling: Music is not narrative. It cannot tell a story. We can only associate extra-musical concepts with it, it can never produce them itself.
2. Integration: The gesamtkunstwerk ('total artwork') does not exist. One artform always dominates. Let that be music.
3. Atavism: No music is ever redundant. Classical music is dead. Long live classical music.
